Description:
Pure organic royal jelly is a whitish-yellow, viscous substance secreted by the cephalic glands (hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands) of honeybees. It serves as the exclusive food source for queen bees throughout their entire lifespan.
Composition of Pure Royal Jelly:
- Water: approximately 66%
- Carbohydrates (15%): mainly fructose and glucose
- Proteins (13%-18%): primarily proteins, peptides, and growth factors, with a significant portion composed of free or combined amino acids.
- Royal jelly contains 8 essential amino acids that the human body cannot synthesize but are necessary for a balanced daily diet. These include: isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
- Fatty acids in various forms (3%-6%)
- Minerals (1.5%) and trace elements: calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, silicon, sodium, and sulfur
- Vitamins A, C, D, E, with a high concentration of B vitamins, especially vitamin B5 (antistress vitamin), essential for numerous bodily functions.
- 10-HDA Acid: a unique substance found in royal jelly with antiviral, antibacterial, and immune-regulatory properties.
- Acetylcholine: a neurotransmitter in the central and peripheral nervous systems, with royal jelly being the only natural source of this compound.
This rich composition makes royal jelly a highly complex and powerful nutritional concentrate, enabling rapid development of bee larvae.
